The one that started it all! Baby Einstein grew out of Julie's love for her babies, classical music, art and nature. From her basement, and during her daughter's nap times, Julie created a media category that had never before existed. Her ability to create positive, popular content for babies and toddlers helped her to grow her idea into a multimillion dollar company that Julie eventually sold to Disney.

As her own kids moved from diapers to school-aged, Julie recognized another market need:  an entertaining and empowering way to teach young children how to stay safe. Working with John Walsh (host of America's Most Wanted), Julie created a pair of DVDs that soon became a favorite of families and schools across the country, and went on to win an Emmy Award in children's programming. The project was philanthropic; 100% of the net proceeds from sales support the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
